How We Helped Miller Lite Own the Floor at 10 NSLC Stores This Summer

When it comes to beer merchandising, timing and placement are everything — and this past April, Miller Lite seized both with a bold, custom-built retail activation across 10 Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation (NSLC) locations.

Novatis Imports Inc. was proud to lead the strategy, production, and execution of these premium in-store displays, each designed to deliver immediate shopper engagement, local relevance, and brand elevation.

With summer just around the corner, Miller Lite aimed to become the first brand consumers saw when walking into NSLC stores. The solution? A series of pergola-style displays that were impossible to miss and designed to transport shoppers straight into Miller Time, Nova Scotia-style.


🛠️ The Display Design:

Each setup was a modular, high-impact execution featuring:

  • A “Tastes Like Miller Time, Nova Scotia” custom neon sign

  • A premium wood-look pergola structure with modular branding skirt

  • A dump bin and integrated fridge units to drive impulse purchases

  • Optional turf flooring to amplify the summer vibe (used selectively based on budget)

The result: a branded environment that felt immersive, elevated, and local.


📍 The Rollout:

From Sunday, April 27 to Tuesday, April 29, our team installed the full program across 10 NSLC stores. We were personally on-site to oversee execution at key locations, ensuring every display met brand standards and store expectations.

Even with tight timelines and shifting specs, our agile production and installation team made it seamless — proof that premium doesn't have to mean complicated.


🔍 What Worked — and What We Learned:

✅ Personalization = Power
The inclusion of city-specific signage (e.g., “Tastes Like Miller Time, Cape Breton”) sparked immediate shopper interest and boosted brand relevance. Local love is real — and it converts.

✅ Neon Lights = Eye-Catching Delight
The LED sign was a clear standout. Its glow drew attention from across the floor and reinforced Miller Lite’s playful, refreshing positioning. Expect to see more neon in future activations.

✅ Visual Real Estate = Brand Advantage
Most displays were the first thing customers saw upon entering the store, giving Miller Lite a significant edge over both competitors and internal store brands.
